BLOG | Shoes, Cobblers, Leprechauns, and the New Website
socialize

Shoe lacesThe old saying “the cobbler’s children have no shoes” is one of the most annoying and jaded phrases I’ve ever heard; and yet I decided to start our first blog post on our brand new website with it. I do wonder, however, how many people even know what a cobbler is, let alone have met one?

In this day and age when shoes are bought on Zappos or at Ross, I’m sure there are more people in America who claim they’ve seen a Leprechaun or been on a spaceship full of aliens than met an actual cobbler.

Well, back to the actual topic of this post.

As much as we hate jaded phrases and clichés, the way everyone at Intelligent Clout feels about the launch of this website is… very cliché.

Think about it: Intelligent Clout, a web development company and online marketing agency, was living without a functioning website for almost a year. Before, we had a Wordpress-powered blog style thingy. Our own blog was barely breathing. The Facebook page was, well, like a character from “The Walking Dead.”  And yet we managed to not only survive, but to grow, by doing what we knew best—building websites and creating online and print identities for our clients—while completely neglecting our own web outfit.

Although we fully understand and accept the cliché aspect, we also realize that we are the modern day embodiment of the old day saying.

Today, we feel like we got the world’s nicest shoes and we invite you to take a look at them. They are strange and a bit crazy like us; part sneakers, part dress-shoes with a clearly visible Air Jordan twist, they are very comfortable, laid-back, and ready to walk many miles for you.

Honestly, this website is for you, our current and prospective clients. This is a tool to show who we are; a tool to reach out to us; a tool to ask questions, provide your feedback, and compare us to the competition.

Thanks for stopping by! Thanks for smiling with us (we hope some parts of our website will make you smile). Thank you for your support!

Finally, just to clarify: we’re not a shoe factory; we build awesome websites and help you develop your online and print identity. With that being said, please take a look at our shoes. We can make a nice pair for you too!
